Torque is -

Proportional to input current
Independent of RPM

Characteristics - With no electrical excitation, the shaft freely rotates.
With electrical excitation, the shaft becomes coupled to the case.

While the load torque is less than the output torque, the shaft won't rotate.
When the load torque is increased, the brake will slip smoothly at the torque level set by the coil input current.

Use the sizing information to select the proper brake.

Fins on internal rotor move air which increases cooling with increasing RPM.

Compressed air cooling - Clean, dry compressed air may be used to increase cooling.
The case has a BSPT threaded port.
Solid shaft brakes only.

Electric Fan - for the same cooling rating as compressed air. Optional, for brakes POB-200 & POB-400 only.

Signal Isolation Card & Ultrasonic Sensor - For Constant Tension Unwinding & Rewinding
		The ultrasonic sensor measures the diameter of the roll, to keep tension constant as roll diameter changes. The Signal Isolation Card powers the ultrasonic sensor & scales the ultrasonic's signal, for tension adjustments. The 0-10 volt signal controls your constant current power supply.
